Rumsans Brand & Website
Rumsans wants to inspire the construction industry to think differently about accessible architecture—an element which to many has been synonymous with checklists, rules, and not least, bad aesthetics. Department of the Built Environment, Aalborg University, wanted to exchange their regulations for inspiration. From this, the idea of ‘Rumsans’ (a Danish wordplay meaning, ‘sense of a room’) emerged—a website with good and aesthetic examples, knowledge, tips, and research about universal design.
It takes time to change an industry’s perception. But inspiration has proven to be an effective—and eye-opening—strategy. Since the site launched, we’ve been a close partner and assisted the team with anything from editorial direction to social media presence and copywriting.

Rumsans is a lighter and more playful take on the institute's communication. With a bright and recognizable yellow and the interchangeable systems, the identity expresses playfulness, exploration, and creates a visual attraction in a flooded feed.
